A U.S. Green Beret assigned to 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and U.S. Paratroopers assigned to 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division fire an M224A1 mortar system during a cross training exercise on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Aug. 19, 2026. The exercise provided Soldiers from both units an opportunity to train together and share knowledge, enhancing interoperability and building the collective lethality needed to operate effectively in large-scale combat operations.
