    CHICAGO, Illinois— In an intense archery competition, Sgt. 1st Class Rick Devericks, a weapons sergeant with 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and his team mate Sgt. 1st Class (retired) Joshua Lindstrom, a former weapons sergeant with 10th Special Forces Group, were the last two archers remaining in the compound individual archery competition at the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games, July 3.

    CHICAGO, Illinois— One fateful morning while training for an Ironman competition, Army Sgt. 1st Class (R) Howie Sanborn was hit by a distracted driver. The incident left him paralyzed from the waist down. However, that did not stop his competitive spirit and in the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games held in Chicago, Illinois from June 30, to July 8, 2017, Sanborn went on to win five Gold medals in his classification of track events, July 3.
