U.S. Green Berets assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) fire an M224A1 mortar system during a cross training exercise on Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Aug. 19, 2026. The exercise brought the Green Berets together with Soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division and provided Soldiers from both units an opportunity to train together and share knowledge, enhancing interoperability and building the collective lethality needed to operate effectively in large-scale combat operations.
