U.S. Navy Command Master Chief Kim Feroni, U. S. 6th Fleet Command Master Chief, participates in the inaugural Enlisted Readiness Council, August 12, 2026. Established by Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. Daryl Caudle, the ERC, chaired by Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) John Perryman, creates a direct connection between senior enlisted leaders across the Fleet and the Navy’s highest levels of decision-making, and during the three-day conference, members received briefs and worked through issue papers submitted from across the Fleet. The council will meet regularly and provide readiness assessments, recommendations, and issue-focused analysis to the CNO for consideration.
