U.S. Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) West, Peruvian and Panamanian military personnel conduct an integrated maritime security exercise on the second deck of a target vessel during PANAMAX 2026 at Panama City, Aug. 7, 2026. The combined training strengthened coordination and interoperability among participating forces while enhancing their collective readiness to conduct maritime interdiction operations in support of regional security. PANAMAX 2026 seeks to improve interoperability and strengthen collective capacity to conduct complex multinational and all-domain operations to ensure free flow of commerce through the Panama Canal and maintain security and stability in the region.
