U.S. Marines, U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 301 (PSU 301) personnel and partner nation service members conduct a debrief following a static visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training event in Panama City, Aug. 5, 2026. Bringing U.S. and partner forces together to share feedback and lessons learned builds trust, strengthens interoperability and enhances regional readiness for future maritime security operations. PANAMAX 2026 seeks to improve interoperability and strengthen collective capacity to conduct complex multinational and all-domain operations to ensure free flow of commerce through the Panama Canal and maintain security and stability in the region.
