He is part of a group of U.S. Marines and U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit 301 (PSU 301) conducting static visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) training with a foreign partner nation boarding team aboard a training vessel in Panama City, Aug. 5, 2026. Hands-on training exchanges build trust, develop shared maritime capabilities and strengthen interoperability among partner nations, advancing regional readiness and maritime security. PANAMAX 2026 scenarios help the defense and public security forces of participating nations improve interoperability, hone their skills during scenarios involving coalition and all-domain operations, forge strong cooperative partnerships, and demonstrate their collective capacity to respond to and deter threats to the region and its critical waterways.
