Soldiers assigned to the 181st Medical Company (Area Support), 3678th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, conduct a medical evacuation exercise during Annual Training at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 27, 2026. Medics stabilized and evacuated a simulated casualty from difficult terrain to a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, validating their ability to provide lifesaving care and coordinate rapid casualty evacuation under austere conditions. The training enhanced the unit's proficiency in tactical combat casualty care, patient movement and air MEDEVAC coordination, strengthening medical readiness and interoperability in support of operational missions.
