Army combat medics (68W) assigned to the 181st Medical Company (Area Support), 3678th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, secure a simulated casualty to a litter on a rooftop during a medical evacuation exercise at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 27, 2026. Following casualty stabilization, the medics transmitted a 9-line MEDEVAC request and coordinated with a UH-60 Black Hawk aircrew to execute the simulated evacuation. The training validated the unit's proficiency in tactical combat casualty care, casualty evacuation procedures, patient movement and air-ground coordination, strengthening medical readiness and interoperability in complex operational environments.
