Combat medics assigned to the 181st Medical Company Area Support transport a simulated casualty on a litter into a mobile field hospital during a mass casualty training exercise at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 25, 2026. The exercise evaluated the unit's ability to rapidly move casualties from the point of injury to a deployable medical treatment facility, where patients are assessed, stabilized and prepared for evacuation to higher levels of care. The training strengthened medical readiness and reinforced coordinated casualty care in a realistic operational environment.
