Soldiers assigned to the 181st Medical Company Area Support evacuate a simulated casualty on a litter during a casualty evacuation (CASEVAC) lane as part of a mass casualty training exercise at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 25, 2026. The exercise evaluated the unit's ability to safely transport injured personnel from the point of injury to higher levels of medical care while maintaining effective communication, patient stabilization and coordinated evacuation procedures. The training strengthened medical readiness and reinforced lifesaving skills in a realistic operational environment.
