A C-130 Hercules aircraft assigned to the 153rd Airlift Wing, Wyoming Air National Guard, discharges water from the nozzle of MAFFS 3, a Modular Airborne Firefighting System, during a functional test at Cheyenne Air National Guard Base, Wyoming, July 14, 2026. Crews test the system with water before deploying; during firefighting operations, MAFFS can discharge up to 3,000 gallons of fire retardant in less than 10 seconds.
