A U.S. Air Force F-15EX Eagle II assigned to the 85th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, approaches a KC-135 Stratotanker assigned to the 909th Air Refueling Squadron for aerial refueling en route to Kadena Air Base, Japan, June 29, 2026. The deployment builds on the aircraft’s inaugural visit to Kadena in 2025 and provided Airmen another opportunity to integrate with the Air Force's newest fighter before its permanent arrival to Kadena.
