U.S. Army Pvt. 1st Class Juarnel Brown and U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class, Joshua Plante, short term individual augmentees for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency's 2026 Europe-Mediterranean disinterment team, fold the U.S. flag during end-of-day procedures at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery prior to beginning disinterments for the day, Nettuno, Italy, June 24, 2026. This year, STIA’s for the Europe disinterments are supported almost entirely by members of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) marking a special collaborative effort with DPAA.
