Members of the 2026 European-Mediterranean Disinterment team, prepare to lower and catch the flag to help the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery with end-of-day procedures prior to beginning disinterments for the day, Nettuno, Italy, June 24, 2026. This year, STIA’s for the Europe disinterments are supported almost entirely by members of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) marking a special collaborative effort with DPAA.
