NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (June 24, 2026) – Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, right, presents a challenge coin to Information Systems Technician 2nd Class Ryan Fort, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53), June 24. While aboard John Paul Jones, McLane spoke with command leadership and recognized Sailors for excellence. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
