U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Stephen F. Logan, adjutant general of Hawaiʻi, receives a briefing from an Indonesian Army Soldier during a static display of riot control equipment (PHH) hosted by Kodam Jaya/Jayakarta at the National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta, Indonesia, June 11, 2026. The display showcased specialized protective equipment, crowd management tools and operational capabilities used in public order and security operations. The engagement provided members of the Hawaiʻi National Guard delegation and U.S. Indo-Pacific Command representatives an opportunity to observe Indonesian Army capabilities and exchange professional insights. The event was part of a week-long series of activities commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Hawaiʻi–Indonesia State Partnership Program, which strengthens military partnerships, professional exchanges and regional security cooperation between Hawaiʻi and Indonesia.
