KINGS BAY, Ga. (June 16, 2026) Lt. Col. Joseph Moeller receives the report from Lt. Cmdr. David Flake, Marine Corps Security Force Battalion (MCSFBn) Kings Bay’s executive officer, during a change of command ceremony on June 16 at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga. Moeller was relieved by Lt. Col. Vincent Thompson as the battalion’s commander. MCSFBn is a joint force of Marines and Sailors that serve as the security force ensuring the protection of strategic assets within the Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT) area of responsibility.
