U.S. Special Operations Forces, pilots, and aircrew prepare to board a C-130 with Mr. Jared Isaacman, NASA administrator, and Sen. The commemorative jump connected today's leaders and service members with the historic airborne operations that helped change the course of World War II. From June 2-7, 2026, more than 600 U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Guardians and Airmen from roughly 17 units historically linked to D-Day made up Joint Task Force 82 and participated in over 90 commemorative events throughout the Normandy Region.
