U.S. Special Operations Forces, pilots, and aircrew conduct a flight briefing for Mr. Jared Isaacman, NASA administrator, and Sen. Tim Sheehy prior to a D-Day commemorative airborne operation over Normandy, France, June 7, 2026. The commemorative jump connected today's leaders and service members with the historic airborne operations that helped change the course of World War II. From June 2-7, 2026, more than 600 U.S. Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Guardians and Airmen from roughly 17 units historically linked to D-Day made up Joint Task Force 82 and participated in over 90 commemorative events throughout the Normandy Region.
