NORFOLK (June 2, 2026) -- Sailors assigned to Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA) Norfolk stand in formation during the command's reestablishment ceremony at Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia. The Navy reestablished SIMAs in Norfolk and San Diego in June 2026. SIMAs are shore commands responsible for repairing, maintaining, and modernizing surface warships.
