A unique anatomically correct surgical model (CRICALOT), which was invented by Dr. Richard Levitan, a career emergency room doctor, uses three layer skin analogue to create a realistic experience for practicing cricothyrotomy on during an Airway CAM course for military medical personnel at Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, May 19, 2026. The Airway CAM course provides a better understanding of emergency respiratory procedures like the cricothyrotomy and intubation using a video laryngoscope through practice on models developed by Levitan.
