NAVAL AMPHIBIOUS BASE CORONADO, Ca. (April 20, 2026) - Lt. j.g. Eli Mayberry, left, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS O’Kane (DDG 77), presents a command ballcap to Midshipman 1st Class Daisy Martinez, who will be joining O'Kane's crew following her graduation from The University of Dan Diego during a visit to Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CNSP). During the visit, Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, CNSP, welcomed Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen and briefed them on the current status of the Fleet before they graduate in May. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
