NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (April 15, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, presents a challenge coin to Logistics Specialist Seaman Anna Lopeslana, assigned to amphibious transport dock USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26), during a visit to the ship. While aboard Murtha, McLane spoke with command leadership, visited the Orion space capsule used during NASA's Artemis II mission and recognized Sailors for excellence. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
