NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (April 15, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, presents a challenge coin to Personnel Specialist Riley Farr, assigned to Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lenah Sutcliffe Higbee (DDG 123), during a visit to the ship. While aboard Higbee, McLane spoke with command leadership and recognized Sailors for excellence. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
