NAVAL BASE SAN DIEGO (April 15, 2026) - Vice Adm. Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, pins a Surface Warfare Officer pin onto Lt. j. g. Raven Battles, assigned to Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS 3), during an all-hands call aboard the ship. While aboard Fort Worth, McLane spoke with command leadership and recognized Sailors for excellence. The mission of Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is to man, train, and equip the Surface Force to provide fleet commanders with credible naval power to control the sea and project power ashore.
