Timothy Boston, commanding officer of Unmanned Surface Vessel Squadron (USVRON) 1, renders a salute to sideboys during a signing ceremony at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, April 14. During the ceremony, which was presided over by Rear Adm. Christopher Alexander, who leads unmanned systems integration for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, the prototype Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel Seahawk was officially transferred from an experimental role with the acquisition community to the operational Fleet.
