    SAN DIEGO, Ca. (April 14, 2026) - Rear Adm. Christopher Alexander, left, who leads unmanned systems integration for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, signs official transfer documents placing the prototype Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel Seahawk under CNSP's administrative control with Capt. Darren Gerhardt, Principal Assistant Program Manager for Fleet Operations, Test and Evaluation, during a signing ceremony at Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, April 14. During the ceremony, which was presided over by Alexander, the vessel was officially transferred from an experimental role with the acquisition community to the operational Fleet.
