NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES (April 9, 2026) — Boatswain's Mate 2nd Class Ethan Wright operates a Visual Identification Virtual Reality (VIDVR) headset as Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Christopher Treanor, center, briefs the Honorable Benjamin C. Kohlmann, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASN M&RA), on Surface Warfare Engineering School Command (SWESC) Great Lakes' Boatswain's Mate Schoolhouse curriculum and training tools during a visit to the training command, Apr. 9, on board Naval Station Great Lakes. The purpose of Kohlmann's visit is to meet with leadership and assess the current state of innovative instructional methods within the Navy's training pipeline.
