NAVAL STATION GREAT LAKES (April 9, 2026) — Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) 1st Class Travis Peterson, left, and Chief Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) Scott Coppick brief the Honorable Benjamin C. Kohlmann, Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASN M&RA), on Surface Warfare Engineering School Command (SWESC) Great Lakes' guided-missile destroyer (DDG) Console Operator Trainer (COT) curriculum and training tools during a visit to the training command, Apr. 9, on board Naval Station Great Lakes. The purpose of Kohlmann's visit is to meet with leadership and assess the current state of innovative instructional methods within the Navy's training pipeline.
