Members of Recovery Team 3, part of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Joint Field Activity 26-3LA, layout donated supplies in preparation to hand out to local Lao workers who assisted the team during recovery operations in Laos, March 27, 2026. At the end of the mission, both members of RT3 and Recovery Team 4, who shared the same basecamp, donated supplies to the local village as thanks for their work and support of the DPAA mission to provide the fullest possible accounting of missing U.S. personnel to their families and the nation. Currently there are 1,566 personnel unaccounted for from the Vietnam War, 280 of those unresolved cases are located in Laos. (U.S. Air Force Photo by Lt. Col. George Tobias)
