U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Brooklyn Purdy, a medic for Recovery Team 3, part of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency Joint Field Activity 26-3LA, examines potential evidence while wet-screening with local Lao workers at a recovery site in Laos, March 27, 2026. Material from excavated units are transferred to screening stations where U.S. personnel and local workers search for aircraft wreckage, life support material and possible remains. Purdy is a Short Term Individual Augmentee to DPAA from Expeditionary Medical Unit 7, attached to Camp Pendleton, California.
