(Retired) Henry Harder Jr. on being elected the next Adjutant General of Vermont during a joint session of the Vermont legislature at the Vermont State House in Montpelier, Vt. on February 19. Vermont is the only state that selects an adjutant general through an election and chose U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. (Retired) Henry Harder Jr. to be the next leader of the Vermont National Guard.
