(Retired) Henry Harder Jr., both candidates for Adjutant General of Vermont, sit in the the gallery of the Vermont State House with friends, family and colleagues during a joint session to elect the next Adjutant General of Vermont in Monpelier, Vt. on February 19. Vermont is the only state that selects an adjutant general through an election and chose Harder to be the next leader of the Vermont National Guard.
