U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Kyle Tarleton, a 186th Air Refueling Wing heavy equipment operator assigned to Key Field Air National Guard Base out of Meridian, Missi., operates an excavator to dig an area designated for backfill during training at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. on Feb. 10, 2026. The excavation was conducted as part of hands-on heavy equipment training to enhance excavation and site preparation proficiency. Ebbing ANGB is home to the 188th Civil Engineering Regional Training Site which supports hands-on training for Airmen to gain practical experience in building and assembling expeditionary structures to support contingency operations.
