U.S. Air Force heavy equipment operators use a compact track loader to remove excess soil from a recently refilled training excavation at Ebbing Air National Guard Base, Fort Smith, Ark. The training reinforces construction and site restoration skills in support of installation readiness. Airmen from Key Field Air National Guard Base out of Meridian, Missi., visited Ebbing ANGB on Feb. 10, 2026.
Ebbing ANGB is home to the 188th Civil Engineering Regional Training Site which supports hands-on training for Airmen to gain practical experience in building and assembling expeditionary structures to support contingency operations. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Patricia Teare)
