(June 24, 2025) – Florida Atlantic University team member Robert Mascia surveys the pre-race activity on the wet dock on June 24, 2025, during the International Submarine Races (ISR 18) at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division. The ISR serve as a real-world crucible for aspiring naval engineers providing hands-on problem-solving opportunities in a unique competition that develops critical domestic, scientific, and engineering talent for the Navy and America’s Maritime Industrial Base.
