An MH-60R Sea Hawk, attached to the “Battle Cats” of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 73, launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) while operating in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 6, 2025. HSM 73 returned to their homeport of Naval Air Station North Island after completing a nine-month mission in the U.S. 3rd, 5th, and 7th Fleet areas of operations aboard Nimitz, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11.
