A C-2A Greyhound, attached to the “Rawhides” of Fleet Logistics Support Squadron (VRC) 40, launches from the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) while operating in the Pacific Ocean, Dec. 5, 2025. VRC 40 returned to their homeport of Naval Air Station Norfolk after completing a nine-month mission in the U.S. 3rd, 5th, 7th Fleet areas of operations aboard Nimitz, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 11.
