Brendan McLane, commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, left, presents a challenge coin to Quartermaster 3rd Class Anahi Rodriguez, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) during a visit to the ship Dec. 5. In addition to recognizing Sailors for their achievements, while aboard Sampson, McLane spoke with command leadership about the ship's recent operations and participated in a promotion ceremony.
