Fort Bragg, NC — German Armed Forces Sgt. Maj., in addition to his role in administering the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB), took part in the ruck march portion of the competition. The GAFPB is a challenging physical and mental exercise, open to allied and US servicemembers, and administered by a German Armed Forces commander; it consists of a physical fitness test, ruck march, water survival event, and marksmanship exercise. This collaboration, and others like it, highlights the enduring partnership and camaraderie between US, German, and allied armed forces. (U.S Army photo by Spc. Brandon M. Badder)
