Marines from the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, look on at the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art as the U.S. Navy Band Commodores perform a public concert in commemoration of the Navy and Marine Corps 250th birthday. Philadelphia is hosting a weeklong series of public events in celebration of the anniversary, bringing visitors and residents a firsthand look at the professionalism and warfighter strength of today’s maritime service members, including public concerts, school visits, static aerial and ground asset displays, ship tours, an air show and ceremonies across the city.
