A wide look at two U.S. M109A6 Paladin Howitzers firing at a range with U.S. Soldiers from Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, during Paladin Table VI at Orzysz Training Area, Poland, Oct. 3, 2025. The training validated the unit’s ability to provide long range artillery support and strengthened NATO readiness on the eastern flank. Task force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent to increase lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America's only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
