U.S. Army Pfc. Collin Johanns, from Bravo Battery, 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, carries a 155mm artillery round from a Carrier, Ammunition, Tracked (CAT) vehicle to an M109A6 Paladin Howitzer during their Paladin Table VI crew certification at Orzysz Training Area, Poland, Oct. 3, 2025. Each 155mm round, weighs about 100 pounds, and was carried from the CAT vehicle to the howitzer to allow crews to rapidly resupply and sustain live fire operations during certification. Task force Iron’s mission is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent to increase lethality while strengthening partnerships with NATO allies and regional security partners. The task force provides combat-credible forces to V Corps, America's only forward-deployed corps in Europe.
