Inyo Forest Service mules with intern from the Pack Stock Center of Excellence along with the lead Forest Service Packer were used as part of the electroshocking team to consolidate Paiute cutthroat trout at an overnight location on North Fork Cottonwood Creek. The following day at dawn Paiute cutthroat trout would be removed from the creek to fish cans then to 10 mules and packed out to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife fish truck. Here they get transferred to a single aerated tank and driven six hour for yet again another transfer on mules provided by Little Antelope Pack Station.
