Tim Lickness, a retired Army first lieutenant and Pasadena, Calif., native, explains how spirituality helped him get through the Vietnam War during a Warriors of the Faith meeting aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 14. The meeting was the second of its kind aboard the air station. The first meeting featured Pearl Harbor survivors. Lickness served as a platoon leader with the 101st Airborne Division and once led his platoon on a five-day mission through the jungle to rescue the crew of a crashed medevac helicopter.
