Tim Lickness, a retired Army first lieutenant and Pasadena, Calif., native, discusses his service in the Vietnam War during a Warriors of the Faith meeting aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 14. New and old service members alike attend these meetings to share in the spiritual experiences of fellow veterans. Lickness served as a platoon leader with the 101st Airborne Division and once led his platoon on a five-day mission through the jungle to rescue the crew of a crashed medevac helicopter.
