Tim Lickness, a retired Army first lieutenant and Pasadena, Calif., native, discusses how spirituality helped him during his time in the Vietnam War at a Warriors of the Faith meeting aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 14. Warriors of the Faith meetings at the station chapel bring old and young service members together to share in their experiences. Lickness served as a platoon leader with the 101st Airborne Division and once led his platoon on a five-day mission through the jungle to rescue the crew of a crashed medevac helicopter.
