A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle assigned to the 492nd Fighter Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, lands in preparation for a barrier certification test of a Mobile Aircraft Arresting System at RAF Mildenhall, England, Sept. 12, 2025. Airmen and civilians from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Power Production shop regularly test the MAAS and annually conduct certification testing of the system, which is designed to quickly stop aircraft in emergencies, preventing accidents during takeoff or landing, and extending the survivability of our warfighters.
