A U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle from the 492nd Fighter Squadron at RAF Lakenheath stands parked on the flightline after engaging a barrier as part of a certification test on a Mobile Aircraft Arresting System on RAF Mildenhall, England, Sept. 12, 2025. Firefighters from the 100th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire Department immediately performed checks on the aircraft to ensure there were no issues. The warfighting capabilities of the 48th Fighter Wing, paired with global reach from the 100th Air Refueling Wing, make the Air Force a powerful ally to our NATO partners, enabling us to project decisive airpower and reinforcing our commitment to collective defense.
